Peștera de Lapte

Peștera de Lapte (Milk Cave) is a unique natural attraction in Romania. The name comes from the white calcite formations, which resemble yogurt due to the combination of calcite and water (scientifically called 'montmilch' or mountain milk).

The cave is about 175 meters long and 15-20 meters wide, and its walls are covered with layers of calcite up to 30 cm thick. It is an ideal place for nature lovers and adventurers.

After visiting the cave, continue to the top of Postăvarul, the highest peak in the Eastern Carpathians, where you can enjoy breathtaking views.
