Description
Ashford Hangers National Nature Reserve is a scenic nature reserve located in Hampshire, offering 323 acres of wooded hillside with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
The site is famous for its diverse flora and fauna - in spring you can admire flowering bluebells and wild garlic, while in summer you can observe rare butterfly species such as Purple Emperor and White-Letter Hairstreak.
The reserve also has historical significance - you'll find Poet's Stone, a stone commemorating poet Edward Thomas, who often walked the grounds before his death in 1917. The steep but short trails are ideal for families and avid walkers alike.

Kazandra12 years agoThis is my back garden. Been walking dogs through these hangers for many years. Never get tired of the view from the Shoulder Of Mutton. This time of year, the Shoulder is covered with wildflowers that bring bees and butterflies to the hill.
