Description
The Picasso is a monumental sculpture standing in Chicago's Daley Plaza. The 15-meter-tall COR-TEN steel structure weighs more than 160 tons and is the first abstract piece of public art downtown.
Created by Pablo Picasso himself in the Cubist style, it was initially controversial, but today is an iconic symbol of Chicago.
Locals often gather by the sculpture, and children love to climb and slide down its base. It has appeared in many films, including 'Blues Brothers' and 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'.
