Description
Ancient Town Fengjing is a charming water town with a history of more than 1,500 years, and is one of the oldest in Shanghai.
It impresses with its architecture from the Ming and Qing dynasties, 52 stone bridges and a canal system. The place is famous for its unique Jinshan peasant art, where you can admire traditional painting and handicrafts.
In the evening, the town is lit up by hundreds of red lanterns, creating a fairy-tale scenery. Sample local delicacies, including the famous 'Four Treasures of Fengjing': yellow wine, pork legs, Zhuang Yuan cake and Tian Xiang dry tofu.
