Al Zubara Fort

Al Zubara Fort is a fascinating historical monument in Qatar, listed by UNESCO. This 1938 square fort, with three round and one rectangular tower, originally served as a coast guard post and later a police station.

Today, it houses a museum displaying archaeological artifacts that provide a glimpse into the daily life of the former inhabitants. The distinctive architecture with traditional Cathar blanks and machicolations delights history and culture lovers.
