Description
Triftbrücke is a spectacular suspension bridge in the Swiss Alps, suspended 100 meters above the turquoise waters of Lake Triftsee. Stretching 170 meters in length, it is one of the longest and highest pedestrian bridges in the Alps.
Built in 2004 and rebuilt in 2009, the bridge was designed after Nepalese rope structures. It is not only a marvel of engineering, but also offers breathtaking views of the Trift Glacier and the surrounding alpine landscape.
The hike to the bridge takes about 1.5-2 hours and is moderately difficult, but the satisfaction of crossing this impressive structure and enjoying the scenic views is well worth the effort.
