Großer Garten

Großer Garten is a historic Baroque-style park that is Dresden's green oasis. Established in 1676 as a hunting ground, it impresses with its symmetrical gardens and manicured lawns.

At the heart of the park is the partially restored Summer Palace, a beautiful example of early Baroque architecture. Activity enthusiasts will appreciate the opportunity to rent pedal boats on Lake Carolasee or ride the historic park train.

The park also offers access to a botanical garden with more than 10,000 plant species and a zoo with some 3,000 animals. It's the perfect place for a family picnic or a leisurely stroll among nature.
