Description
Abbazia di San Michele Arcangelo is a historic Benedictine abbey dating back to the 11th century, located in the medieval village of Terra Murata on the island of Procida.
The stunning architecture with a 16th-century facade conceals real treasures - seventeen altars, a wooden gilded ceiling with a painting depicting St. Michael defeating Satan, and an impressive collection of artwork by Neapolitan artist Nicola Russo.
The abbey offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Procida and the Mediterranean Sea that will delight any lover of photography and beautiful landscapes.
