Description
The Aachen Cathedral Treasury is one of the most important church museums north of the Alps. The collection includes priceless works of art and relics from 12 centuries of history, including the sarcophagus of Persephone, in which Charlemagne was buried, and his hunting horn and knife.
Among the artifacts on display are masterpieces of medieval illumination, gold and silver reliquaries and the Cross of Lotar, still used for special ceremonies.
As a UNESCO site, the treasury offers a unique experience for art and history lovers, with interactive exhibitions accessible to the whole family.
