Description

เส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติแหลมโตนด is a charming nature trail on the southern tip of Koh Lanta Yai Island in Mu Ko Lanta National Park.

This unique route offers unforgettable views - a white sandy beach on one side and a steep hill covered with lush tropical forest on the other. The landmark is the lighthouse, which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding islands and coastline.

Nature lovers will appreciate the variety of flora and fauna, while adventurers will appreciate the opportunity to snorkel around the nearby island of Koh Mook with its underwater caves. An ideal destination for photographers and families looking to experience Thailand's natural beauty.

avatarSebastiano Gottardo2 years agoWe loved doing the trail and ending up at the beach! There were beautiful trees and plants, but unfortunately we didn’t see any wildlife. Overall, very much recommended! Like other reviews said, the trail is pretty rough for the first 500 meters: there’s branches in your way, a steep inclination, and some slightly slippery bits. While technically doable with flip flops, I’d recommend a more appropriate footwear (sneakers are totally fine). Brings lots of water and mosquito repellent.
avatarAndrius Rymko2 years agoVery good hike. Do not forget proper shoes as there are some challenges during the hike. Entrance price 200THB per person + 20THB per scooter. At the end of hike you will enjoy very nice beach with lighthouse. Hike time approximately 1 hour. Good luck and enjoy! 😉
avatarMariusz Malec2 years agoThe Nature Trail is located within the Mu Ko Lanta National Park. There is an entrance fee to this park (February 2023): 200B for foreigners (100B for children) and 40B for Thai residents (20B for children). You also have to pay for the motorbike (20B). In my opinion, the road to the national park is quite easy and Honda Click 125i with two people is ok. I started my walk along Nature Trail from the very nice Tha Nod beach (after a short trip to the lighthouse). It is about 30-60 minutes of walking. Actually, it is unclear how long it is. :-) In my opinion, it is about 3 km long. For about 2/3 of the route it is a good path (sometimes paved with stone :-) ), but after it is more difficult. I imagine the latter can be very difficult after the rain. In my opinion, the first part can be done in flip-flops, although I do not recommend it. :-) In my opinion, in good conditions, good sandals or snickers are enough. At the end, the trail forks: (1) straight to the park checkpoint; (2) left into the parking lot. It is a beautiful hike. I really enjoyed it. I added more photos with my review of the national park and lighthouse.
