The sanctuary in Swieta Lipka, located at Swieta Lipka 29, is a site with a fascinating history dating back to the 13th century. According to legend, at the site of the current shrine, a prisoner sentenced to death carved a statue of Our Lady and Child, which was placed on a roadside linden tree. The miraculous events associated with this place attracted pilgrims from distant corners of Europe.

The present temple, erected in the 17th century, represents top-notch Baroque architecture. The basilica is surrounded by cloisters with corner chapels, forming a harmonious quadrangle.
