Furong Ancient Town (Wangcun)

Furong Ancient Town (Wangcun) is a unique ancient town suspended above a waterfall in Hunan Province. Founded more than 2,000 years ago, it impresses with its traditional Tujia architecture and a spectacular waterfall 40 meters wide and 60 meters high.

Strolling along Wuli Street lined with green slabs, one can admire the wooden houses on the slopes of the cliffs, visit the People's Museum displaying the rich history of the Tujia people and the Tusi Palace. Less crowded than other popular attractions, it offers a peaceful atmosphere and an authentic cultural experience.
