Description

The Bâlea Waterfall is the longest cascading waterfall in Romania, located at an altitude of about 1,200 meters in the Făgăraș Mountains. Also known as 'Howling Bâlea,' it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery.

A red trail leads to the waterfall from the hut at Lake Bâlea. In winter, when the Transfăgărășan road is closed, you can get there by cable car.

This is an ideal place for nature lovers, photographers and hikers. The area abounds with well-marked trails suitable for hikers of all levels.
