Sandown Park Racecourse

Sandown Park Racecourse is Britain's first racecourse designed specifically for spectator entertainment. Opened in 1875, it boasts a rich history - it was here that races were first broadcast live on television in 1947.

A right-handed oval track of about 13 furlongs and a smaller straight section for 5 furlong sprints provide exciting racing. Set amidst picturesque parkland in Esher, it offers not only the thrill of horse racing, but also live concerts, comedy shows and other entertainment events.
