Description
Brook Hall Estate and Gardens is an 18th-century private estate stretching across 140 acres on the banks of the River Foyle. One of Ireland's oldest walled gardens, it is home to over 1,200 rare trees and plants from around the world, collected by six generations of the Gilliland family.
This place, which was the headquarters of King James II during the siege of Derry in 1689, today combines its historical heritage with pioneering environmental practices—it is Ireland's first carbon-neutral estate.
