Description
Steadfast Gate is a unique place in Edinburgh that combines art and nature into a harmonious whole. Opened in 1983 to commemorate the anniversary of the Boys Brigade, it is part of a trail along the Water of Leith.
It's an ideal place for nature lovers to view local fauna, including the colorful kingfisher. The park is famous for an art installation by Antony Gormley - a series of '6 Times' sculptures that do double duty as part of a flood control system.
An audio guide available at the park allows you to discover the history of the site and its connection to Edinburgh's industrial past.
