Description
The Nostell Monastery and Great Park is one of the finest estates in northern England, built between 1725 and 1785 by the Winn family.
It is a true treasure trove of 18th-century design and craftsmanship, famous for its world-class collection of Thomas Chippendale furniture, historic paintings and interiors designed by Robert Adam.
On 300 acres you'll find beautifully designed gardens, a landscaped park and a stable yard. Children will love the Forest Playground, and adults will appreciate the unique exhibits, including a rare John Harrison clock and a Georgian dollhouse.
