Description
Faringdon Folly Tower is a remarkable 30-meter Gothic tower built in 1935 by the eccentric Lord Berners.
This last great folly in England offers breathtaking views of the five counties. As you climb the 154 stairs, you'll discover the remarkable history of the site, which was once a Celtic camp, a medieval castle and an observation post during World War II.
Surrounding the tower is a four-acre forest of broadleaf and majestic Scots pines that hides charming animal sculptures, including a giraffe. An ideal place for history and nature lovers!
