Description
Wheal Peevor is a unique industrial monument in Cornwall, presenting a complete layout of three 19th century engine house buildings.
Each building served a different function: pumping water, hauling materials and crushing ore. On the grounds you can also admire the historic buddles - round pits used to separate tin.
The mine originally mined copper in the mid-1800s, and later tin. The site offers a fascinating journey back in time for lovers of industrial archaeology and Cornish mining history.
