avatarJess5 months agoParco Sempione is hands down one of my favorite parks—maybe anywhere. It’s massive, but somehow still feels peaceful. There are cafes and restaurants tucked inside, wide open lawns that are actually clean and perfect for picnics, and tons of dog parks. One even has an agility course. The views here are unreal—on one end you’ve got the towering Arco della Pace, and on the other, the stunning Castello Sforzesco. One of the hidden gems is the Mermaid Bridge—an old stone bridge with beautiful carvings of mermaids, built in the 1800s. The park also has beautiful ponds and little streams, full of fish, ducks, and even turtles. It’s amazing for birdwatching—tons of species, and if you look carefully, you might even spot the bright green parrots. There’s also a cool children’s amusement park, basketball court, sports arena, outdoor workout stations, and tons of fountains in case you or your pup get thirsty. You’ll almost always catch someone playing live music, which just adds to the magic of the park. And if you’re into culture, the Triennale design museum and the Civic Aquarium are both right here too. It truly has everything and should not be missed.
avatarFilipchrd3 months agoVery nice park. I enjoyed that there were no queues or entry fees to access the outside of the castle. It was nice and cool inside so it was a good free shelter from the sun. The benches in the park are also comfortable. The castle has free to use toilets, although they were not the easiest to find and just happened to stumble across them.
