Description
Castello Scaligero di Malcesine is a medieval fortress with a fascinating history dating back to the 5th to 6th centuries. Built by the Longobards, destroyed by the Franks and rebuilt in the 13th century, it offers an unforgettable experience for history lovers.
The castle rises on three levels connected by drawbridges, offering spectacular views of Lake Garda. Within its walls is a natural history museum and a room dedicated to Goethe, who was interrogated for sketching the castle in 1786.
The distinctive dovetail-shaped battlements and white stone tower create a picturesque setting, perfect for souvenir photos.
