Description
Villa Cimbrone Gardens are fabulous gardens dating back to the 11th century, made famous by Lord Grimthorpe's restoration in the early 20th century. It's a place that has delighted the likes of Winston Churchill and Virginia Woolf.
At the heart of the gardens is the famous Terrazza dell'Infinito (Terrace of Infinity) with its marble balcony offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The main avenue, Viale dell'Immenso, leads through classical temples, sculptures and pergolas covered in white and blue wisteria.
The gardens also conceal the Grotto of Eve, which D.H. Lawrence painted without permission, as well as rose gardens and olive groves, creating a true paradise for art and nature lovers.
