Description
The Hollókő ófalu rezervátum is a unique Hungarian village listed by UNESCO. This living open-air museum showcases perfectly preserved Palócy architecture from the 17th-19th centuries, with traditional wooden houses and farm buildings.
On the hill above the village are the ruins of a medieval castle, with a legend of ravens associated with it (the name Hollókő means 'Raven Rock'). The surrounding area offers scenic nature trails: Castle Trail, Raven Trail and Garden Trail.
The place is bustling with folklore festivals and craft fairs, where you can experience authentic Hungarian culture.
