Oeschinen Lake Viewpoint

Oeschinen Lake Viewpoint is a magical vantage point overlooking a turquoise lake surrounded by majestic peaks reaching 3,500 meters.

This place impresses with the unusual color of the water, which is created by the presence of glacial dust that reflects the light. The 8.5-kilometer panoramic trail offers breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

In summer, visitors can swim, picnic on the rocky beach or rent a boat. In winter, the lake turns into a winter sports wonderland with ice skating and skiing. The viewpoint is part of the UNESCO Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn area.
