Santa Barbara Zoo

Santa Barbara Zoo is a 30-acre park located in a picturesque setting overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Santa Ynez Mountains. Home to more than 146 species of animals, including penguins, giraffes, red pandas and gorillas, presented in natural habitats.

The zoo offers unique attractions, such as feeding the giraffes and riding the Zoo Train around the park. There are special play areas for the little ones, including the Kallman Family Play Area.

Also worth a look is the Ridley-Tree Animal Kitchen, where you can get a sneak peek at the process of preparing meals for more than 500 animals.
