Description
Milton Lee Olive Park is a charming oasis of tranquility on a peninsula in Chicago, straddling Lake Michigan.
Designed in 1965 by Dan Kiley, the park delights with five circular fountains of varying perimeters, connected by diagonal paths. At the heart of the park is the 'Hymn to Water' monument commemorating Milton Lee Olive, the first African American to be honored with the Medal of Honor.
An overhanging terrace with black granite benches offers spectacular panoramic views of the city skyline. It's the perfect place for a walk, jog or picnic surrounded by green lawns and the soothing sound of water.
