Description
India Point Park is an 18-acre park located in Providence's historic Fox Point neighborhood, where the Seekonk and Providence rivers meet Narragansett Bay.
The park offers breathtaking harbor and river views, lighted walking paths and a playground with ropes, swings and a sandbox for children.
In the past, the site served as a shipping port for the Brown family, which imported tea from India and China - hence the park's name. Today it is a popular site for picnics, festivals and the annual Fourth of July fireworks show.
