Park stanowy Starved Rock

Starved Rock State Park is a unique place where nature has created breathtaking scenery. The 18 canyons with vertical walls of moss-covered St. Peter sandstone, shaped by melting glaciers more than 14,000 years ago, create unique scenery.

Seasonal waterfalls, active in spring and after heavy rains, add to the park's natural beauty. A rich variety of plants, including white and red oaks, maples, pecan trees and pine trees, provide habitat for many species of animals.

Outdoor enthusiasts will find excellent hiking, fishing and wildlife watching.
