Iowa Quilt Museum

Iowa Quilt Museum is a unique place dedicated to the art and culture of American quilting. The museum is housed in a historic 1886 building that originally served as a hardware store and later as a J.C. department store. Penney.

Four times a year the exhibit is changed, showcasing both historical and contemporary quilts. Original wooden floors and a tin ceiling add to the charm of the place.

Craft and history lovers will find it a real treat, and the nearby historic Madison County bridges are an added attraction when visiting Winterset.
