International Museum of Surgical Science

International Museum of Surgical Science is a fascinating museum housed in a historic mansion modeled after Marie Antoinette's Petit Trianon at Versailles.

The four floors are filled with extraordinary artifacts, paintings and sculptures depicting the history of surgery and medicine. Of particular interest is the anatomy exhibition 'OUR BODY: The Universe Within,' which combines preserved exhibits of bodies and organs with historical medical instruments.
