Mount Independence

Mount Independence is a historic site of great importance during the United States War of Independence. The fortification was one of the most populous sites in the North American colonies, hosting more than six thousand soldiers.

Visitors can admire the remains of extensive fortifications, including a battery with 28 guns and a star-shaped fortification. A small museum with souvenirs and educational films is on site.
