Description
Leather Archives and Museum is a unique cultural institution dedicated to the history and culture of leather, fetishism and BDSM.
Founded in 1991 in response to the AIDS crisis, the museum preserves heritage that could be lost. Permanent exhibitions include the works of Fakir Musafar, the Dungeon exhibition and 'A Room of Her Own' dedicated to the women's history of the leather community.
The museum is a major conservator of queer erotic art, including the largest collection of works by Chicago artist Dom Orejudos. It is a fascinating place for those interested in the diverse aspects of LGBTQ+ culture.
