Description
Washington (George) Park is a 372-acre park on Chicago's South Side, named in honor of President George Washington in 1880. It combines Beaux Arts and Art Deco architectural styles, designed by renowned architects including Frederick Law Olmsted.
The park offers numerous attractions: The DuSable Museum of African American History, the impressive Fountain of Time monument and the beautiful Sunken Garden. For sports enthusiasts, cricket and softball fields are available.
