Description
Qasr Al Muwaiji - قصر المويجعي is a historic fort that is the birthplace of former Abu Dhabi ruler and UAE president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This unique silt-brick structure, with its distinctive square enclosure and corner towers, is a fine example of the region's traditional architecture.
The site, listed by UNESCO in 2011, offers interactive exhibitions and oral narratives that explore the rich history of the Al Nahyan family and the cultural traditions of the United Arab Emirates.
