Description
The Boim Chapel is a pearl of sacred architecture in Lviv, considered one of the most beautiful examples of Mannerism in Central Europe. This small but richly decorated temple impresses with its unusual facade covered with intricate reliefs depicting biblical scenes.
The interior of the chapel is equally impressive in its details - the walls and vault are covered with elaborate decorations that tell the story of salvation. The chapel was built in the early 17th century as the mausoleum of the Boim family, wealthy Lviv merchants of Hungarian descent.
