Rainbow stairs

Rainbow stairs is a colorful tourist attraction in Istanbul that catches the eye with its unique design. The stairs, painted in rainbow colors, have become a popular photo spot and a symbol of the LGBT community.

Originally painted in 2013 by retired forestry engineer Huseyin Cetinel, they were later repainted by activists after being covered in gray paint.

Located between the Findikli and Tophane metro stations, they are an interesting point when visiting other attractions in the area, such as the Galata Tower and Eminönü Square.
