Description
Joshua's Hill is a unique place combining spirituality, history and breathtaking views. Located on the Anatolian shore of the Bosphorus, it is one of the highest hills in Istanbul, offering panoramic views of the Black Sea and the strait.
The hill is famous for the Yuşa Mosque, built in 1755, and a 17-meter-tall tomb attributed to the prophet Joshua. The site has a rich history - once the temple of Zeus, later the Church of St. Michael, and now an important pilgrimage destination for Muslims.
A terrace with benches allows you to relax and contemplate the surrounding landscape, making this place ideal for lovers of history, spirituality and nature.
