Description
Grotta turchese is a fascinating prehistoric cave located in Porto Badisco. It is famous for its rich collection of Neolithic cave paintings, dating from 6000-1000 BC, depicting deer, hunting scenes and stylized human figures.
The cave was an important spiritual and ceremonial center for Neolithic communities. Although access is restricted due to the protection of the priceless paintings, special guided tours are organized.
The area also offers a beautiful beach with turquoise water, ideal for swimming and snorkeling, and scenic hiking trails with breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea.
