Description
Birthing Cave is a unique rock formation near Sedona, Arizona, accessible by a short 2-mile trail. This natural cave has deep cultural significance to the indigenous Hopi, who historically used it as a birthing place.
The easy-to-follow trail with little elevation gain (about 242-300 feet) makes it accessible to novice hikers and families. The cave offers spectacular views of the surrounding red rocks and is a popular spot for photographers.
For adventurers, a short climb above the cave leads to Native American ruins and viewpoints overlooking Boynton Canyon.
