Applecross Sands

Applecross Sands is a charming area on a remote peninsula in Wester Ross, offering breathtaking scenery.

The semi-circular brown sand beach is surrounded by green hills and wooded shores, creating a picturesque setting.

The area is famous for its more than 10 kilometers of coastal trails, including the River Walk, Clachan Heritage Trail and Sea Path, which lead through historic areas, ancient hazel forests and offer spectacular views of the bay and surrounding mountains.

The site has a rich history dating back more than 1,300 years when St. Maol Rubha introduced Christianity here.
