Description
Natural Trap Cave is a fascinating paleontological site in the Bighorn Mountains of northern Wyoming. This bell-shaped cave, 26 meters deep, hides a remarkable treasure - more than 20,000 fossils of animals from the Pleistocene era that fell into the trap over thousands of years.
The low temperature inside the cave (below 10°C) has perfectly preserved the remains of prehistoric lions, dire wolves and bears, making the site invaluable to researchers.
Although the cave is not accessible to ordinary tourists for safety and security reasons, the site's sheer history and scientific significance make this geological wonder of nature worth exploring.
