Description
Gygrestolen is a unique rock formation in Bø, created during the last ice age. It offers breathtaking views of the valley and the surrounding cultural landscape.
The hike to the summit is steep and challenging, but the reward is fantastic views reminiscent of scenes from 'Lord of the Rings'. The 3.5-mile one-way route is well marked by Bø Turlag.
The site is shrouded in local legend of Gygra throwing boulders after Christianity arrived in the village. Ideal for nature lovers, photographers and seekers of unforgettable adventures.
