Ancient City of Jiaohe

Ancient City of Jiaohe is a fascinating UNESCO monument located on a 30-meter loess plateau where two rivers meet. Shaped like a willow leaf and built of compacted earth, the city has been preserved in excellent condition thanks to Turpan's dry climate.

The spacious buildings with a central avenue, temples, craft workshops and residential quarters allow you to be transported back 2,300 years. The tour takes about 2 hours, during which you can admire the unique architecture and feel the spirit of the ancient Silk Road civilizations.
