Description

The Salisbury Museum is a treasure trove of history and culture, housed in the Grade I listed King's House.

It delights with an extensive archaeological collection of more than 100,000 items, including artifacts from Stonehenge and medieval finds from Old Sarum. Unique exhibits include the Lake House Meteorite, which struck the Earth some 30,000 years ago, and the Wardour Treasure, a collection of more than 100 items from the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age.

The museum also has an impressive art collection, including watercolors by J.M.W. Turner and oil paintings by Rex Whistler.
