The Bone Caves

The Bone Caves is a fascinating set of caves hidden in the limestone cliffs of Creag nan Uamh in Scotland. The site is a treasure trove of prehistoric finds - bones of reindeer, polar bears, Arctic foxes and the only skull of a northern lynx in Scotland have been discovered here!

A moderately difficult 4km loop leading to the caves offers breathtaking views of the rugged Scottish landscape. It's an ideal destination for lovers of natural history, geology and prehistory.

Prepare appropriate footwear - the path can be steep and rocky, and the caves themselves can be slippery.
