Description

The Phraya Nakhon Cave is one of Thailand's most beautiful natural wonders, located in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park.

Discovered 200 years ago by a local ruler, it hides a historic altar built by King Rama V in 1890. The most magical part of the cave is the beam of light coming through a hole in the vault, which creates an amazing light show illuminating the royal pavilion.

The way to the cave is via a scenic trail through the hills or by boat from Laem Sala beach. Although it requires moderate physical fitness, the reward of breathtaking views is worth every step.
