Dossen Gletschergarten

Dossen Glacier Garden is a fascinating glacier garden that reveals to visitors the remains of the last ice age.

This unique site showcases impressive geological formations such as polished rock slabs and glacial mills, formed when water from the melting Gorner Glacier gouged cylindrical cavities in the rock at speeds of up to 200 km/h.

The site also includes the remains of a soapstone quarry, which was used to make pottery and decorative stoves. An additional attraction is the suspension bridge, rising 90 meters above the Gornerschlucht gorge.
