Description
Exit Glacier Trailhead is the only accessible point in Kenai Fjords National Park where the glacier drops 900 meters, creating a living laboratory of climate change.
Signs along the trails show the glacier’s position since the 1800s, documenting its retreat of up to 66 meters per year. Thick blue ice cracks before visitors’ eyes, and the trails range from an accessible loop through the forest to a challenging route to Harding Icefield with a 900-meter ascent.
