Castle Varrich Footpath is a scenic trail leading to the thousand-year-old Varrich Castle, perched on a rocky hill. The trail offers breathtaking views of Kyle of Tongue Bay and the majestic Ben Loyal and Ben Hope mountains.
After a short 2-mile climb of 87 meters, you'll reach a historic building with walls 1.4 meters thick, built without mortar. A modern steel staircase and viewing platform allow you to enjoy the surroundings from an even better perspective.
It's a great option for a short adventure while traveling the famous NC 500 route.
