The Knotted Gun / Non Violence

The Knotted Gun / Non Violence is a unique bronze sculpture created by Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärda as a tribute to John Lennon after his tragic death in 1980.

It depicts a Colt Python .357 Magnum revolver with the barrel tied in a knot, a powerful symbol of peace and opposition to violence.

The original is in front of the UN headquarters in New York, and replicas have been placed in more than 30 strategic locations around the world, including Malmö. The sculpture is part of the Non-Violence project, which promotes peace and social change through education.
